Originally a normal statue of the first Gundam Mech in the anime series and spin-offs, the statue had been augmented over the span of a year to be controlled by a puppeteer or controller much like a non-autonomous golem as part of an end of the year high-school prank in Tokyo. The numerous control spells necessary to control the statue and keep it intact while moving still remain. However, whatever was used to power the spells has since been removed; at the core of the statue is a perfectly spherical cavity where traces of tritium and deuterium are detected. Due to the trace materials, the scientific world is pouring over the statue, which has since been relocated to a research facility in Japan.

It is unknown if the RX-78-2 Gundam's weaponry is functional.
