The Occultus Magica is a large organization that operates mostly in secret, known only to those important in the magical world, and a few others. There are many smaller organizations that call to the Occultus Magica, although many of the members of these sub-organizations do not even realize that the Occultus exists. The Purpose of the Occultus Magica is to maintain the secrecy of the magic world, through secret policing actions, the creation and enforcing of magical laws, and the research, registration, and organization of all known types of magic. The Occultus Magica has four major branches, each with several divisions.

The leader of the Occultus Magica is a mage of incredible power known as the Maestro Occultus. Little is known about the Maestro Occultus. Each of the four branches is lead by its own Maestro, which make up the high council. The Council answers to the Maestro Occultus.

Naturae deals with Nature, and the elements. Specifically, it deals with the magical applications of Plants and nonmagical animals, as well as the manipulation, control, or prediction of the elements of nature and the weather.

• Druid Order

Esprit deals with the spirits, either those of humans (ghosts) or those of nature. It also deals with demons, and Divine beings.

Artae Cryptus deals with such things as Magical items, Alchemy, and potions making. It governs the use of these items or arts, as well as the creation of new ones.

Faunae deals with magical creatures, specifically in keeping them secret from the nonmagical world.
