• Twin Souls: Haruka's natural magical abilities are augmented… by a second soul. Her body contains herself and her 'lost' twin sister, Ayaka, whom also had mystical powers. While this increases the strength of her usual magic, the more significant ability is to temporarily split into two bodies, though one is clearly more ghostly.

How powers were granted: Haruka's sister was, unbeknownst to Haruka, a magical girl. Though they both had innate power, but Haruka didn't have knowledge of it, while Ayaka was off doing magical girl things like saving the world. At least she was until she was defeated by a monster. In an attempt to prevent death, Ayaka preserved herself within her magical artifact that had originally given her her magical girl prowess… and called out to Haruka. Haruka followed the cries for help and recovered her sister just as the monster reappeared to finish the job. Gladly accepting a contract, of sorts, with her own sister, Haruka awakened her own powers and defeated the monster.

Appearance: Haruka isn't special in her looks. She has medium length black hair that is straight and covers her face somewhat, which is slightly rounded. She has dark brown eyes. Her figure continues her unassuming looks, with a petite figure, that is hardly curvy and quite flat. However, Haruka is a bit on the short side at just 5'1“.
Magical Item: Haruka has two magical items.

• The most important of the two is her transformation item. It comes in the form of a silver amulet, with a drop-shaped jewel, broken into two pieces, one of which is black while the other is green. The middle edge where it is broken is fairly jagged, but it fits together easily. Once combined, Haruka dons her magical outfit, and the amulet becomes whole, the two colors swirling slightly.
  
• Her other item is her weapon and comes from her amulet. Haruka/Ayaka's weapon is a gunlance. In it's standard form, it is a balance between the gun and the lance part. While the shooting is more powerful and still quite effective when the twins are together, due to Haruka's inexperience at using the weapon, it is more accurate if Ayaka splits and helps Haruka to aim. The second form is for when the sisters split up and comes as a pair of two smaller lances. Both still contain a small rifle within, but are much more heavily oriented towards the lance-end of the spectrum. The final form is a single large cannonlance, with much more cannon than lance. It requires the two to work perfectly together to function correctly, and Haruka is too inexperienced to really use it currently.
  

Magical Outfit: Haruka's costume is more practical, at least to an extent, than a 'typical' magical girl, if there is such a thing as a magical girl being typical. Upon her torso is a corset-like piece, further reinforced with what appear to be metal plates. Her left arm is covered in an elbow-length fingerless glove, while her right arm, though similar, has metal plates, covering parts of her arm and making a full on platemail gauntlet around her hand. The most elegant part of Haruka's ensemble is the sash wrapped around her waist, with flowing ends off of her hips. It has a buckle, containing the design from her amulet. Lastly, around her upper legs are what are essentially shorts. A short gap of skin below that before her knee-high boots begin, clad in metal greaves.
