Rosenite

Rosenite is the more common, broken-down form of Rosenium. Being more common, it has also been found to have a wider variety of uses.

General Characteristics

Rosenite, like it's parent material, shows common characteristics with both Metals and organic materials. However, these common characteristics are much more apparent in this broken down version. Rosenite can be said to be the 'rust' of Rosenium, but that is not exactly true. Rosenite is essentially a low-energy version of Rosenium which has trouble crystallizing.

Uses

Metallurgy

Rosenite, when added to most metals and alloys, Makes them transparent without losing much of their other physical properties. Transparent metals are generally slightly weaker and more brittle than their opaque counterparts, but are still highly resilient, and much better for use as windows in space than glasses and plastics, as they do not shatter, but rather bend and dent, decreasing the likelihood of a loss of pressure.

Medical

Rosenite is quite useful in the medical field, and forms the basis of many combat drugs, such as stimulants, painkillers, and blood fillers. Rosenite seems to have been made for the human body, and produces numerous effects, from Strengthening bone and muscle tissue, to increasing the oxygen capacity and efficiency of blood, to reducing the effects of certain kind of trauma, as well as speeding up a body's ability to heal. a wonder drug, it can be administered to a patient with very little processing, and is even laced into food in its raw form to keep a steady dose present in the systems of many Terran soldiers.
