Hair: His hair is a milk chocolate brown, neatly trimmed to be about an inch and a half long at the longest.

Eyes: Johnathan's eyes are a darker shade of emerald, and sharply contrast with his hair.

Body: Though toned and of good build due to military training, his physique still doesn't compare to many of the more hardcore marines, especially when taking into account the larger Terrans aboard the Battle Hymn.

Notable Characteristics: Johnathan appears slightly fatigued, stressed or tired, with small creases at the edges of his eyes. As for his teeth, they have a very slight yellow tint obtained from a bad smoking habit, ditched since coming aboard the Hymn due to regulations.

Personality: John is quite pessimistic for a Terran fighting in the military, believing that at the current rate, the Drathonians will win. Despite this, he is the kind of person that wishes to go out with a 'bang' and actively attempts to cheer himself up from the resulting gloom that such an outlook brings. John usually keeps moving forward, but unlike others, openly laments his situation as he does so. Simply put, he makes the best of circumstances around him and complains about them anyways.

Johnathan was the oldest of four children and had led an average life through most of his childhood, rarely dealing with bullies or other obstacles in his way. The few times he had, he usually dealt with it to the best of his ability while complaining all the while. More often than not, others found him annoying because of this, pointing out that he should not complain when he is doing fine despite the poor circumstances.

When the Drathonians began their attack, Johnathan, his parents and much of the neighborhood could not escape the planet in time. Many people could not even get to the star ports due to the congested traffic, and had to flee through the city on foot. During this course, Johnathan witnessed the Drathonians in combat first hand, powering their way through police, SWAT, sparse military units and civilians alike.

When Johnathan finally arrived at the starport, the people rushed the transports, only to present an even larger and more tempting target for Drathonian infantry. Despite people being mowed down in droves by small arms fire, John's parents were killed by the crushing crowd rather than the hostile aliens. He, along with his three younger siblings managed to survive the stomping feet, flailing limbs and finally the ramp as it closed.

In space, the shuttle group did not fare much better. They were harassed and picked off by constant, eager swarms of Drathonian Scourge fighters; the few Delta Daggers that were available were too busy just trying to stay alive, unable to so much as keep the civilian crafts safe. On the final countdown to the FTL jump, the Drathonian Fleet bore down on the few remaining civilian craft to finish them off. John watched through a port as a single Delta Dagger accelerated and rammed into the bridge of a corvette; the pursuing Scourges could not break off in time and slammed into the hull, lighting the ship afire.

Since then, Johnathan took whatever job he could to support his three younger siblings. When he finally came of age, he leaped at the opportunity to join the Terran Republic's military. They were paying the most, and if he did die, they'd pay what remained of his family even more. Johnathan firmly thinks he could have done a better job than what pilot who saved his life did, perhaps ramming himself into the bridge of a capital ship instead, much like what was usually seen in the old movies.

After joining the Terran military, Johnathan's potential was noticed, landing him in a position to test advanced prototypes before they were sent into the field. During this time, he had become a close friend of Rhiannon Bell, developing a sibling-like relationship with her. Shortly after testing some of the first Saber fighter craft, he was assigned to The Battle Hymn of the Republic, and participated in a strike operation on Dracharia Letima. At the end of the battle, Rhiannon and a fellow pilot protected the shield generators upon an incoming asteroid, ensuring the destruction of the new Demonix class ship under construction at the cost of their lives. Johnathan is currently sorting out his feelings after the loss while attempting to force himself into happiness.
