 +**Personality:** Garrett is a rugged man, always sarcastic, and always putting his hands to use. He lacks a lot when it comes to formalities and mannerisms, but claims he tries his best to remember- which is either a really bad 'best,' or a lie. Hendlow hates being at a standstill, but owns enough patience to mask his impatience. Were it his way, Garrett would be at work constantly, and he is an entirely hands-on person. He prefers to do a job himself than oversee another person's work, and has trouble working in a team as a result- which is an honest work in progress as he has been promoted to a XO position in the last year. He is a definite flirt, harassing younger and older women alike. However, he is rarely serious about anything he says or does while flirting. In fact, Garrett is almost never serious, and even when he is Garrett still has a tendency to make jokes. That said, he still demands respect from his inferiors and gives it where he believes it's due. Crossing him is anything but a good idea, and he has a history of wrathful outbursts to prove it.

 +===== History =====
 +At sixteen, Garrett lost so much... His home, his mother, his two siblings, his friends- the young man's life was obliterated over night. He felt crushed, and thought little of idea that he could continue living. Getting into an anarchistic group of friends, and experimenting with fire and small-time flash powders, he found a dangerous love for explosives and pyrotechnics. Eventually, though, that also went south when Garrett lost yet another important person and resulted in a young Hendlow tearing the group apart almost single-handedly. He was found later by a military patrol some twenty miles inside Nevada, unconscious after having walked so many miles with little rest and no sustenance. After he'd recovered, he joined the military and immediately became a member of the demolitions department. After a couple years, he finally made it off the planet and onto a respectable ship. From there, he would quickly rise due to his aptitude, and eventually be placed in charge of an entire division within the demolitions and explosives department aboard the //Battle Hymn of the Republic//. Shortly after being assigned, a boarding mission would land him in the midst of an engagement at the side of one Warrant Officer Kai Nakamura. The positive results earned Hendlow a transfer to the freshly formed //Shock Squad 215//.
