The battle for the well
Re: The battle for the well
Meetra asks the priest "I care not which faction is the strongest but which of the factions pays the best."
Re: The battle for the well
The priest looks at Meetra and says I think your orc friend is linguisticly challenged, as for you answers though Bal Cas pays the best and runs most of the trade within the city and Deacon has better soldiers and handles most of the cities outer defense, also be warned they hate each other and are always quarling over control of the well.
Re: The battle for the well
Meetra says "before you answer again I think it wise to not insult an orc further, who currently controls the well?"
Re: The battle for the well
The Tiefling Kin'Alla keeps to herself, observing the exchange for now. She holds a book in her hand that she seems more interested in reading than paying attention to what's going on. The horned, purple-skinned woman ran a hand through her black hair, fishing a quill out of the strands and idly scratching her chin with it before pulling out some ink and beginning to scribble notes on what the others were saying.
Re: The battle for the well
Grom grabs the pommel of his sword and glares at the priest saying "we have problem little priest"
Re: The battle for the well
The priest looks between meetra and grom and says "I think you might be right, as of now Deacon controls the well. Then he eyes Kin'Alla and Meetra and comments that you both look like scholars and might like to look through the library
Re: The battle for the well
Huh I guess I'm convincing enough to people who've never known my past "I'm not much of a scholar to be honest, I don't even know what I'd be looking for in your library, I just need to find a job since the caravan stopped here." He says resting his hands on the table studying the priests face to try to see which faction he speaks more highly of.
Re: The battle for the well
The priest replies "well if you should ever find any interest in them the library is always here. Honestly I don't really care for either faction they both have their up and downsides and I feel they would benefit greatly from working together instead of trying to seize control, either that or give the city back to the people. And as far as me and the temple are concerned we are neutral ground.
Re: The battle for the well
"If you are neutral then do you have a job board with postings for both sides?" He looks around looking for one before his stomach growls and his face blushes at the sound.
Re: The battle for the well
Grom laughs " first eat, then work" then walks towards the kitchen
