"Cocoa date?"

Drysi began to fidget as Willow began to regard her softly again; as if it had been the first time someone had ever spoken kindly to her. Silently she watched her roommate walk off to attend to Johann, following an apology that stirred her chest a bit more. A complicated mixture of emotions mixed on the palette that was the girl's face. For the first time in a long time there was nothing reeling in how she truly felt.

Her eyes tracked around the devastation wrought by both the skirmishes that took place.

"A date...?" The triclops began to nibble at her lip nervously and then yelped shortly, not used to a set of incisors that now lined along a nearly regular set of omnivorous teeth. A lot had changed in the last few hours, and it seemed to be overwhelming her.

And then there was Johann.

She had watched how he stood up to the violent stranger that had attacked them, even as everyone else was stunned silent. She had seen how he had brushed the boy aside as if he were nothing. Something in her began to froth in her chest. The moment he was free of Willow's protection she began to stomp over to the necromancer. Her face was alight with intensity, the same face she had when someone disagreed with her.

"Ow!" yelped Drysi, as she stepped on a sharp briar, and hopped on one foot, halting her momentum cold. She was only a few feet away from him now, but was now occupied momentarily by wiping her foot.

When she had wiped off the thorn, she stood straight again, looking as though that was his fault; she continued to stomp angrily over to him.

At this point, it was worth mentioning that despite being younger that Drysi, Johann was nearly a head and a half taller, so when she threw her arms around him, her face was level at his chest. The bedraggled scribe was shaking, but she squeezed him tight.

"Thank you," said the girl quietly, "Thank you for saving me. Thank you for protecting us."

At that, she tore herself away, her dirt and blood smeared face streaked with tears. She raised her voice loudly as she walked towards Willow now, popping on one foot again when she stepped on another thorn. "DID SOMEONE FI- ih- ND MY BOOTS? I want... w-want to go home!"
