Seeing the rather frantic mind set Duncan was in and the clearly magical changes happening in the situation around her - to one that was rather much more dangerous than what had been going on before at that - almost convinced Riley into demoting the American's status from that of 'villain' into just that of a simple 'minion'.

Except, all plays must have actors and this one had reached full-swing without a hitch so far.

Giving Duncan one last glare and shuffling her suspicion and dislike of the cocksure and foul-tempered boy to the back of her mind, Riley shook her head and dropped her illusions with a wave of her hand.

"Well, if it wasn -" Startled and interrupted by the piercing scream ringing all throughout the area Riley shut her mouth with a click. Looking around quickly and then craning her neck skywards the girl got a clear view of the... problem that had developed atop the school.

"Wipe that horror off your face!" Riley shouted cheerily at Duncan as she flashed him a smile she felt he didn't deserve. Glancing behind her shoulder to see Percy already up and working to combat the problem at hand Riley moved to join him - sparing Duncan one last glance. "No worries right? With all us here everything will be fine, we all just need to make sure we're being useful!"

Thinking it might help Riley waved encouragingly at the destitute looking American as she ran off - it was only polite to at least try and help someone after falsely accusing them after all.

Rushing next to Percy, Riley's smile was purely beaming. "Got a plan for today yet Watson, or are we just heading off to do a bit of the walking and then we'll just prop ourselves up with whatever is at hand when we get there?"

Miyuki was entirely at a loss as she was set upon by Mrs. Watanabe, and stood, dumbfounded, until the nurse finally seemed to get fed up and simply walk away, though this was due to the magic of the barrier that had been set upon the school. Still at a loss, Miyuki stood at the doorway, about as good as a misplaced statue. That was when some raven-haired girl ran through the doorway, bumping into the equally dark-haired Miyuki with an 'oof!' The girl ran off, without Miyuki any the wiser as to who it was. If she had been able to see, she would have noticed the girl smirking, and that her fist was clenched around something.

That something, was, in fact, the sealing locket which Miyuki had been wearing. it had been, somehow, replaced with another during the short time the two were in contact, though the magical girl would never know. She now felt something similar to what she might have felt during the last battle, if she hadn't lost her normal consciousness and gone into some kind of berserk mode. Around Miyuki's body, the temperature lowered, and she felt a power rising through her body, at once freezing and electrifying, calming her down and pumping her up with some strange energy, as if a well of mana had had a valve opened partway, filling her up.

Almost subconsciously, she called Saph, and the guardian beast of the Babylon sapphire appeared at her feet.
"Whoah!" the cat-like beast exclaimed, feeling the difference in his master almost immediately- indeed, the link between himself and Miyuki allowed for a transfer of some of her power, and Saph himself felt energized and ready to go.
"I can feel them. The people up there. I think they need us." was Miyuki's simple reply, it was direct, and without any further explanation, Saph jumped toward the roof while Miyuki burst upward on a jet of rapidly freezing water, stopping the stream at the top and launching herself onto the rooftop. The pillar of ice remained for only a few moments before melting, the column of water following Miyuki, before being directed forcefully at the ribbon-clad figure. Its power was greater than before, but, as usual, Miyuki had no finesse- much of the power would go wasted when the attack connected.

The girl held up a tissue to her boyfriend's bleeding nose before noticing something off in the distance. "Oh hey. Look a that," she spoke mildly curious. The boy, still rather embarrassed and sore from the earlier baseball incident, briefly looked up from the red and white paper he was holding and admitted that it was something interesting.

"That's pretty cool. Kinda like something out of the anime I used to watch or something," he commented.

"You mean that one with the paper?" she asked as they looked away, continuing on with the other students departing the school.

"Well, that was more like some cloth or ribbon, but yeah!" the boy went on excitedly, "I think it was called 'Read or Die' where the heroes could control paper and slice through things like they were nothing!" he excitedly exclaimed. "They could even stop bullets with the papers they controlled!" The two quickly forgot what they saw as the boy was now quickly reminiscing about some of the coolest shows he had watched while his girlfriend listened on with rapt attention. She was both curious herself and glad that he was fine; the two walked away and off campus, ignoring the desperate struggle that played out on the roof and how the knight of air slashed through the strands holding Sakura, dropping her to the ground so she could run. They and the rest of the student body Never minded the way the Druid freed himself from his bound legs by briefly stunning the ribbons with a rune in hand. Everyone didn't even so much as notice the blast that erupted from the roof of one of the school buildings as the twin impacts of both Haruka and Miyuki's attacks converged on the Red Ribboned figure.

As the dust began to settle, blackened and charred ribbons burst forth and with a snap and burst of the air, blasted away the smoke as they all whipped about at once. Standing intact, the Red Ribboned Figure examined its charred, damaged tendrils of cloth. She held them up to her face as though they were her own hands, now mangled by these children, and screamed, the voice nightmarishly distorted and muffled by myriad of bloody ribbons covering her face and mouth. The battle had begun.

Bursting out of her legs came several more red ribbons, entwining together and vaulting the wrapped woman up into the air, holding her aloft and out of easy reach like a twisted rose. From her vantage point high above, several more whipped and struck out at all who opposed her, chasing them down like macabre worms that slithered and slicked through the air.

*****

"Do something! Hurry!" Duncan screamed at Riley and Percy in a panic. "I'm next to useless with my magic bound in daylight!"

With the ribbons cut, Sakura fell back down on the roof and landed hard on her rear-end, letting out a yelp of pain in the process. As she rubbed her behind, she looked around to see where she was and quickly found herself staring right back at the thing - or was it a person? Whatever it was, she stared right back at it and quickly felt chills run down her spine. Quickly she got up and high-tailed toward a nearby AC Unit and hid behind it, covering her ears with her hands as the thing let out a screech that caused a ringing sensation despite the ears being covered. She was so scared right now, that all she wanted to do was run and hide under her bed back at home, and hope that she would wake up from what she was perceiving as a nightmare.

However, As she sat there though, something screamed at her - calling her a 'coward' for abandoning her duty, it took her a moment to realize that the voice she was hearing wasn't from her subconcious but rather coming from her bow. She glanced at it and noticed a sllight pulsating effect, the voice plan and clear, and what it sent made Sakura even more terrified than this thing in front of her.

"You know you are honour bound the assist, they've saved your life, despite you trying to mess with theirs. If you were to run, then you will find yourself to be a coward and unworthy of our knowledge."

Although she was scared and choking back tears, she merely nodded in agreement at the voice stood up from behind the unit and looked back at the thing - it was taking all of her courage to do so right now and it wasn't much considering that her legs were shaking all over. Was it worth dishonouring her family? No, she felt and decided to take a stand.

She gulped and sniffled a bit before wiping away several of the tears that were on her face. I might regret this, considering what these kids might be, but I can't dishonour my family... she thought fearfully as she wrote four Runes, all fire. It's a ribbon, so fire should work... she was uncertain, but decided to try it anyway as she threw the four fire runes toward the monstrocity. Then, she knelt down into a crouch, pulled an arrow from her coat and imbued it with her last electricity rune and aimed it at the thing. She would then wait until the oppertune time before firing it, for her it was a matter of patience but was also a matter of luck as she couldn't move an inch while she focused on the thing. Something else was going on though, if someone took a close enough look, they'd notice a sort of shimmering appearance of the air around her along with tiny cracks appearing on the ground.

Ruarc’s luck held out, the banshee did not seem to notice, or care giver the circumstances, about his movements. Behind him he could hear, and feel, substantial magical attacks finding their mark; a part of him worried that he might accidentally get caught in a wayward blast. His mind however quickly dismissed such thoughts as he was intent upon banishing the demon behind him, and amidst the commotion he knew just the thing to try.

In a motion he could not described he reached his arm into the air once he reached a good position, and his staff Cara Cre planted itself firmly in the palm of the druid’s hand. Then, driven by reflex and intuition, Ruarc turned and made a downward swipe with the wooden rod while shouting, “Créatúr na tine, theilgthe breithiúnas!”

Once at the lowest point Ruarc made a step forward and thrust the staff out in front of him as he released a controlled torrent of raw magical energy at the ribbon clad horror in the form of a fearsome dragon head intent on consuming more fuel. He had not used this spell since facing down the large skeleton in the first group confrontation he had been in with the other mages, and this one was notably smaller than the first given the scale of its target.
Amidst the roar of the flames Ruarc wondered to himself why he felt so exhilarated.

Haruka cringed away from the shriek. That was... mildly terrifying. She should have just left with the regular students. That would have been the smart idea. Why did she decide to try and assist these foolish mages who were openly throwing magic around?

"Could use some help!" she exclaimed at seemingly no one in particular. A beat passed before a shadow seemed to emerge from Haruka's body, peeling away, and form a second body that was distinctly see-through. Other than that and the fact that it had a more black-themed magical outfit, this ghostly double looked the same. "You really pissed her off!"

"You think?" Haruka replied to her twin. One would notice that Haruka's outfit was now more green-themed.

With a lance-rifle for each of them, Haruka and her doppelganger opened up with rapid volleys magical blasts at the incoming ribbons. Now that they were split, the magic was much weaker. 50% weaker to be exact. But, the increase in volume would hopefully provide enough protection.

"A mysterious wind brings a floral fragrance," a voice announces from above.

"The Heavens, the Earth, and Humanity cry out for a savior!" A silhouette appears standing on the top of the roof's entryway. "The beautiful Ally of Justice appears," A small flash of pink light reveals the speaker-- a girl in a very pink outfit with very long, pink hair. If it were in front of nearly anyone else, it would look as if she had lost her way to Comiket. "HeaaaaaaartPure!" Striking a pose the new girl looks over the scene and, surprised by the sight before her, quickly drops character.

"Ara? There's so many here?" she asks seemingly no one in particular, looking down at the ribbon-monster and the magically adept students already in combat with it. A blue light shone, flying up beside the newly arrived magical girl.

"I said there was a strong reading from over here," a squeaky voice spoke from the bundle of light. The sound of a bell rang softly as the light bobbled in the air.

"You said it was evil," HeartPure protested, crossing her arms across her chest.

"I said I detected evil energy," the blue glow explained. "And that thing definitely is!"

"Well!" the newcomer exclaimed, pulling out a deep magenta, card-shaped object and holding it aloft. "HeartSabre!" she shouted loudly, passing the card over the silver heart-shaped broach pinned to the front of her chest. The card exploded into a dazzling show of lights and formed around HeartPure's hand as she spun about in place, forming into a long, silver-edged rapier with an intricate, sweeping hilt that twisted into a beautiful rose design to protect her hand. Swinging the blade about, HeartPure posed again. "Those who battle evil must be on the side of Justice," she proclaimed, and readied to attack the source of the evil that drew her and her companion to this place.

After being tripped up and subsequently freed by the combined efforts of Haruka, Miyuki, and herself, Jane landed cat-like on the roof once more, guns drawn. What's more, she was back in her traditional outfit of a gray button-up and jeans, and her holsters quite prominently displayed on her hips; the Colt Lightnings were already gripped tight, and ready to go.

The cowgirl sprinted toward the Evil: her guns pounded out the tempo, enunciating every strong beat; her boots stomped out the time with determined precision; her jacket billowed, flared, and swept graceful arcs with each swing of the unheard rhythm- Magia. It was as though she could hear the music of the moment, as if she were beginning to embody the Leitmotif of the present. It drove her ever closer to the Great Evil, and not once did she flinch or display fear. Calamity Jane was in her element, free of distraction.

Time appeared to be slow to Sakura, she couldn't tell how much had actually passed. Was it a minute? Five? An hour? she didn't know, and quite frankly, didn't care.

She was still crouched down and aiming her arrow toward the monstrocity that lay before her, her mind still fearful and wandering but now she had to concentrate as best she could. I know it's I shouldn't tip my hand, but I don't know how powerful this thing is...

Thinking on the activation key for her powers, she was about to speak it in her native language when she rmembered that wouldn't work, she'd instead have to speak it in the language that her family had developed it in. "Μπορεί ο αέρας να σταματήσει να κινείται, το σώμα παύει για να αυξομειώνονται, μπορεί ο ουρανός μου ακούει εντολές και το έδαφος σαλπάρουν με δικά μου λόγια. Επιτάχυνση βαρύτητας κατάρρευση!"

The ground heaved around her, crackling, splintering, the air around seemed to be shuddering. Blue light collected around her arrow, and a small black ball of energy started to appear on the tip. All overh er body, she could feel the shuddering. Her muscles were aching, and she knew she'd have to release the arrow soon or else the gravity changes would effect her body in negative ways - with that thought in mind - she aimed for the center of mass and fired the now gravity-embue arrow.

"We've got to take care of this, Riley." Percy threw his hand up in the direction of the horrific being, looking down at his rooming compatriot. "Whatever it is, we need to take it down before it seriously hurts someone!"

The young summoner lifted his staff.

"AKANUS!" yelled Percy, and the toll of a bell sounded at the head of Unity. Shortly follow came the audible sound of wings before white-gold blue cut across above them, making a sharp curve left, before turning in to land in front Duncan, Riley, and Percival. The mini-god looked at both Duncan and Riley, before regarding Percy. The heavy lance he carried disappeared, before he came to one knee.

"Boh." greeted Akanus audibly, as anyone could hear him.

"Take her down!" commanded Percy, pointing a directing finger at the screaming banshee.

"Boh? Ba-boh, beh-boh bah."

"What!? What do you mean you don't fight women!?" yelped Percival incredulously.

"Bah, boh boh boh. Beh-ba boh-ba beh." The mini stood, to take the conversation with full attention.

"That's not a woman, it's a thing! It's going to hurt people, and even my friends!"

"Boh bah be." Akanus shrugged in response to that, apparently having the same out-dated values as the Aurus mini.

"So what if it takes the form of woman!? You're not going to fight that looks like a woman?" Percival was losing his cool, and shaking his hands at the supposedly loyal mini.

"Boh."

"Argh! Then-... Then I command you to do it!"

"Bah." Akanus looked away, refusing to obey the command, even go so far as crossing his arms and tapping his foot impatiently. Percival on the other hand, was losing his cool, his fingers sifting tightly under his beret. Then, his grip began to wrap tight around Unity.

"I. Said. DO IT!" snarled Percival, inscribed words lighting up all over his body, all in ancient Welsh. Akanus snapped in response, his little form convulsing and his little mouth wailing. Tiny sparks of magical energy fired off him, as if the mini was being electrocuted. Then, just as suddenly it stopped, and Akanus came to his hands and knees; He was panting through his small helmet, tails of smoke curling out of his armor. With little resistance now, he spread his wings, shakily pushed himself to his feet. His lance came forth, and, with no words for the three of them, fired off towards the banshee.

Akanus curled right, not wanting to directly charge the ribbon-woman, but quickly curled back in towards to charge in, spinning and turning to avoid getting snapped at by one of the ribbons.
