History: Astrid was born in the small village of Roßdorf am Forst in Bavaria, Germany. In her small community her family practiced self-sufficiency, and therefore from a young age Astrid was taught the meaning a hard work as she helped her family on their small farm with her three brothers while her parents worked as small time blacksmiths. While growing up, one of her favorite chores was when she got to use her father’s axe to split firewood. When she was given some free time she would be in the village playing games with the other children, her game of choice was soccer wherein she found her skill for strong arming her team to victory (usually via pushing down the boys on the other team).
Embracing her tomboy nature, Astrid wanted desperately to become a warrior when she grew up. Her chance came when she got accepted into Brocken Academy. As a gift for his little girl, her father presented her with a handcrafted weapon for her to use. It was a keen short axe that also acted as an SMG. She turned it down, and upon her father asking why she responded with “I want a big bat that I can hit things with.”

Appearance: Astrid stands at just above four feet in height. Her small frame belies her strong core, but no matter how you look at her she is simply a developing preteen. Her hair is honey blonde and falls down just past her shoulders, and it is kept tied back in a ponytail. Her heart shaped face most always looks happy or excited, and her bright green eyes are often open wide as they look around for something to do.
Personality: Astrid is a tomboy by definition. She is rash, excitable, and would rather solve problems by hitting them rather than sorting them out. She is also very loyal, and will intervene one her friend’s part ever if the opposition is much larger.
